Ashford has an excellent swimming pool which is a focal meeting point for the locals. The pool is adjacent to the caravan park which provides excellent facilities. The Ashford Memorial Bowling Club provides home cooking cuisine on Friday. This is the only restaurant in the town. The Pindari Dam is a short drive from the main town. People in Ashford are very friendly and take great pride in their community.
