Coffs Harbour was discovered and settled on the foreshore of the harbour. The harbour is the playground for visitors and locals. The harbour serves a large fishing fleet and the catch is processed through the Coffs Harbour Fishing Co-Operative. The "Co-Op" as it is locally know serves some of the best fresh and cooked seafood on the coast. Eating fish and chips on the breakwall near the Co-Op is a must do on a visit to Coffs. Whale watching very popular and their are many vessels which operate whate watching tours. Many of the photos on this page were taken on the "Spirit of Coffs Harbour" a very modern whale watching cruiser. Harbour real estate has gone through the roof in recent years and the Coffs City Council is examining various options to redevelop the foreshore.
